Head Chef – St. JOHN Bread and Wine
St. JOHN Bread and Wine was the first restaurant in which head chef Farokh ate when he moved to London. With a CV spanning from The Merchants Tavern to chocolate work and pastry work at The Fat Duck, Farokh brings to the kitchen a sensitivity gained from his wide and diverse experience. Farokh’s two passions are dogs, and banjos.
Head Chef – St. JOHN Maltby
St. JOHN Maltby head chef Alex Szrok cut his teeth at The Eagle in Farringdon, going on to found and head up Hill & Szrok butchery and cook shop on Broadway Market in London Fields. With a culinary background that firmly shares the ethos and principles of St. JOHN, Alex is truly in his element.
Farouk Gohil is a valued member of the St. John family who has worked with us for over ten years. After leaving his post at Smithfield, he moved to Bread & Wine where he also took over managment at St. John Maltby.

Assistant Restaurant Manager
Toni began his career with us on the floor at Smithfield in 2013. Since then, he has ably taken on more responsibility and was soon appointed Restaurant Supervisor over these two sites. His brother works in our Druid Street Bakery as a baking apprentice.
